What To Expect
Please find below some information about what you can expect at each stage of your treatment. If you are left with any questions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Pre-treatment
I will send you our Patient Guide to Anti-Wrinkle Treatment, along with a Patient Consent Form. This will explain the procedure in detail. It will also give us a better understanding of your medical status and suitability for treatment.
You will then be invited to come into the clinic and meet one of our medical professionals, who will oversee your medical health consultation and prescription.
If we are all happy to proceed, we will then arrange a convenient treatment date with you.
Treatment
Upon arriving for your treatment, you will be asked to clean your face and remove any makeup you have on. This ensures a sterile field to perform the injections.
We will then ask you to show us the full range of movement you have in your upper facial zones (by raising your eyebrows, frowning and smiling). This enables us to accurately mark ‘map’ your face, in line with proven safety zones to reduce any risk of complications.
A small needle will be used to inject the treatment into your facial muscles around the target areas. The number of injection sites is dependent on your specific requirements and facial anatomy.
Post-treatment
You will be given comprehensive post-treatment advice in your Patient Guide to Anti-Wrinkle Injections.
You will start to notice results between 48 hours and two weeks after treatment.
Anti-wrinkle injections have a cumulative effect, so the best results will be gained from regular treatments over time.
Review
We will invite you to come back into the clinic two to three weeks after treatment for a review, to ensure you are happy with the results.
